What is Neuropathic Pain?
Neuropathic pain stems from damage or dysfunction of the nervous system, resulting in aberrant pain signals. Unlike nociceptive pain, which arises from tissue damage, neuropathic pain persists long after the initial injury has healed. It manifests as burning, shooting, or tingling sensations, often accompanied by hypersensitivity or numbness.
